Carol Caruso Artist Bio
Carol Caruso has resided on Grosse Ile since she was a young girl. An alumnus of Grosse Ile High School, and a retired drama director, art and social science teacher, Carol now pursues art for her own pleasure, with limited exclusive showings of her works and commissioned art. She also teaches private drawing and painting lessons to children and adults.
Carol favors working in acrylic paints, as well as oils. Her style ranges from very precise and defined contemporary images to broader strokes of still life and landscapes. Carol regularly donates her time and inspirational talents in support of the arts, through local gallery exhibits, art shows and cultural events throughout Downriver and the Southeastern Michigan area.
Carol held her first art exhibit in 2004 at the Avenue Gallery in Birmingham, Michighan, which featured her Garden Art Series, as well as contemporary oils of landscapes and still life.
Limited prints of some of her originals have found homes as far as California and the far continent of Australia.
Carol resides on the island of Grosse Ile, MI, with her husband, Joe Caruso, author, business consultant and internationally acclaimed speaker. Carol spends her time painting, teaching, gardening and traveling the world with Joe. Member of "The Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors"
